Grow Succulents from Seeds instructions
----------------------------------------------------------
Succulent seeds propagation highly depends on temperature, light and humidity.

Temperature: In general, the best temperature range is from 55F-72F (15C to 22C). Most succulent seeds will not germinate if the temperature exceeds 72F. Temperature drops during the night time will encourage germination.

Light: Using diffused light during germination is highly recommended if the indoor area is not bright enough. Avoid direct sunlight.

Humidity: Keep the moisture level higher for the first few weeks. Cover it with clear pot lid or plastic wrap.

What You'll Need:
------------------------
1. Succulent seeds, a folded small piece of white paper to hold the seeds

2. A Toothpick

3. A clean shallow tray to hold pot (no drainage holes in the bottom)

4. Seed germination kit (includes plastic pot with clear lid) or pot (with drainage holes and less than 4" deep) + clear lid/ plastic wrap for pot

5. Growing medium (Peat pellet or mix of peat moss, vermiculite and fine-grain sand at a ratio of 1:2:1), avoid cactus soil or potting soil for very tiny seeds.

6. Distilled water in a clean cup

Sowing Steps instructions:
-------------------------------------
1. Prepare the growing medium: Saturate peat pellet with warm water in a clean cup to make it expand
or bake your soil mix at 300F for about 30 minutes to kill bug eggs. Alternatively, you can microwave your soil for 10 minutes. Allow it to cool, then wet it thoroughly and allow it to drain.
2. Thoroughly wash your tray/pot to ensure no residue from old soil. Fill your planting pot (with drainage holes) with the peat pellet or your soil mix, about 1/2 inch from the top
3. Plant succulent seeds (super tiny): Press the soil's surface very lightly to make it flat, Dampen it so that the seeds stick to the soil. Use a wet toothpick to gently spread the seeds around. Give them space between each other. Don't cover the tiny seeds with soil.
4. Cover your pot with a clear lid or plastic wrap.
5. Set the pot inside the shallow tray with distilled water until the soil is saturated but not soggy. Always water from the bottom. Avoid overhead watering including mist and spray.
6. Set the tray in a brightly lit location but out of direct sunlight.
6. Keep the temperature within 55F-72F.
7. Keep the soil moist but not soggy, as too much water can drown your seeds. Open the lid twice a day (10 minutes each) to keep the air moving.

Watch Them Grow:
--------------------------
1. Depending on the type of succulent, temperature, and light, your succulents may take anywhere from one week to a few months to begin growing, even with the same species. Once you see leaves begin to emerge, remove the lid during the day to keep them ventilated. Remove the lid but keep the growing medium moist for the rest of seeds to germinate until their fourth true leaves have developed. Do not let the medium dry out completely during the first four months.
2. Keep the soil moist and ensure adequate drainage. This is when their roots are just starting to develop, so it's crucial to keep them hydrated. Monitor your plants' growth, keep them in the shade for the first 12 months. Keep the temperature within the range from 55F to 78F. Use your best judgment until you're watering them about once per week.
3. Introduce succulents to sunlight. The baby plants especially don't like direct sunlight, so wait until their leaves begin to mature before slowly introducing them to more and more light.

Storage of seeds
--------------------------
Keep the seeds in a dry and cool condition up to few months if you decide to sow them later.
