Trees grow 40-60 feet tall with rounded, spreading crown. Red flowers appear in early spring before leaves, attracting pollinators. Green leaves turn brilliant red to orange-red in fall, lasting 2-4 weeks. Smooth gray bark and red twigs provide winter interest. Thrives in full sun with well-drained, slightly acidic soil. Tolerates wet soils and urban conditions. Hardy in zones 3-9. Growing Instructions: Seeds require cold stratification. Mix with moist sand and refrigerate for 60-90 days before sowing.
